My Strengths
Dear Heavenly Father, I feel lower than a carpet and slower than a snail.
My reason for getting up in the morning has deserted me. I don’t know
what to do. My self-confidence has been smashed into the broken shards
of a shattered vase. Please lead me to people who will give me encouraging
words, and help me recognize my strengths as well as my weaknesses. Grant
me wisdom and discernment as I seek to develop and maximize my strengths,
and improve on my weaknesses. Thank you for your gentle nudges in the
right directions as you rebuild my self-confidence. Show me my next steps,
Lord, and help me to follow you. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

Dear Lord and Lover of My Soul, I need the refreshing flow of your love
as a fountain of nourishment in my life. As men rejected and reviled Christ
during his ministry, I feel misunderstood and misjudged in my ministry.
When I tried to please people, Lord, I lost sight of what was most important.
Please imprint Your love afresh into the depths of my heart. Grant me
a steadfast spirit as I seek Your will. I believe your promise that You
have a great future ahead for me, and that I can walk in Your purposes

Lord, help me to be a blessing to your church. Let me never be a cause
of division. Help me to play a role in which I can bring more unity
to your people. Help me to be a servant at my church. Lord, I pray
that I will indeed be a blessing to the church and not a curse.
Let me not be the kind of person the people regret being around.
When I come to church, let others be glad. Let me not give reason
for others to despise me. Let me also be a blessing to my pastor,
instead of his critic. May I seek to build him up, even as I desire
for him to build me up. May I never be someone who works against
Your Spirit in the church, Lord. May I be my church’s best supporter.
May I be an encourager to the congregation. May I do all that I
can to be a refreshing presence in the midst of your people. Let
me not be someone who imposes my will on others, but who considers
what is best for everyone else. Help me to love others even as
you love me. Use me as your vessel to pour out your love in the
lives of the church. May I never
be an enemy within its gates. Amen.

Dear Lord, I feel overwhelmed by the circumstances of my life. I need
to see You and hear Your voice. Please still the noise of the storms in
my life; my finances, my need for a job, my concerns for my family. Grace
me with wisdom and understanding in my recent job loss. Grant me a peaceful
spirit and a focused mind, so I can begin the process of finding new employment.
Show me where and what you have as the next step in my earthly life. Thank
you for your love and provision for me during this time. In Jesus’ name
